MAYAN MONK is located just meters from the famous Coco Beach and is just a skip and a jump from the famous 5ave in Playa Del Carmen. There are a vast number of restaurants-bars and shopping options located throughout our vibrant neighborhood.

Playa Del Carmen which is located 45 minutes down the highway from the Cancun International Airport is truly a world famous beach destination. The crystal clear turquoise water and white sand beaches in Playa Del Carmen are among the Caribbeans most magnificent displays of natures beauty. Playa Del Carmen is also only 45 minutes away from the TULUM RUINS and a fun 30 minute ferry ride to Isla Cozumel.

One of the more unique experiences that the Riviera Maya has to offer are its mystical cenotes. Conveniently, there are an abundant of jungle cenotes located within minutes of Playa Del Carmen.

Your room balance is due as written in your booking confirmation. We accept Mexican Pesos, US dollars, Euros, Visa, Master Card and American Express. We do not accept any traveler’s checks.
TRAVEL INSURANCE

A mindful suggestion is to purchase Travel Insurance, which is generally inexpensive. Its better to be safe then sorry. Travel Insurance may pay for unforeseen events that might happen before or during your stay, it may cover Medical expenses, Evacuation expenses, Trip cancellation costs and so on. Ask your Travel agent, credit card company or you can purchase it yourself through your preferred travel insurance provider.

The Riviera Maya is a tropical climate with beaches, cajoles and jungles. Bring the appropriate clothing for each along with a long sleeve option for night time in case it cools down a bit. In case you forget your sunblock or bug spray, you can pre order some CONTACTING US , and we will have it waiting for you in your room when you arrive

CLIMATE

Playa Del Carmen enjoys a tropical climate with a dry season (November – April) accompanied by a fresh breeze and some days. Wet season is typically (May – October). January, February (winter) and March day temperatures usually sit between 75 – 80F (23 – 26C), however, cool off in the evenings with temperatures between 60 – 66F (16 – 19C). Wind factor can make temperatures seem cooler and long pants and light sweaters are recommended at this time of year. This can be a nice break from the hot sun during the day. May, June, July and August, our spring/summer months, see frequent rainfall, although more breaks in the rainfall in July and August, and although the temperatures are higher than other months, it is the humidity that makes day seem hotter 85F plus degrees (32C).
HURRICANE SEASON

The main hurricane season is between September and November.

We have free wifi throughout the property and in all our suites.
